I booked a flight to Brazil (with 4 connections :O) around two months ago with DELTA airlines through TRIPADO agency. While booking the flight TRIPADO gave an option where I could pay more 17,90 EUR for a Premium-Paket (which explained that in case of flight changes, I would not pay more for it.) While booking I didn’t realize that I also would need to change airports in Paris from Charles de Gaule to Orly for the next flight.
TRIPADO also charged 33,00 EUR for the payment method (Visa card) and now I just discovered that my transfer between France airports is also charged. The company charges 25 EUR.
So, a flight that would cost 604,77 is costing now 680,67 EUR (almost the price of one connection flight or even direct flight in that time).
Regarding the luggage, I’ll need to take my luggage to each airport and need to make something really long connections.
Also, two weeks ago, I received a message from Air France (the company that operates the first flight) saying that my flight changed the schedule and that I should contact the travel agency to have a better option to change my flight free of charges.
I contact the company and asked if would be possible to fly directly from Berlin TXL to Paris ORY. They schedule a completely new flight option with many connections as well and wanted to charge to 530,72 more for it.
While calling they to understand better why should I pay more if I paid already the Premium-Paket for being able to change my flights and that the Flight company said: There has been a change affecting your trip. Your itinerary has been updated, but it may cause you to miss at least one connecting flight during your trip. Please call your local reservation office for assistance. You may be eligible to change your flight(s) at no extra cost. (Conditions Apply)
The woman at the phone just repeated I wanted to change my flight to Paris and from Paris and instead of explaining she repeated the same sentence until the moment she hung up the phone on my face. I was choked.
My flight is in 8 days and I wanted my money back to have a better and comfortable flight.
This company is not serious and make false advertising!
I DONT RECOMMEND TRIPADO TO ANYONE!
I would like to know what can I do and if there is a consumer aid program that I could get in touch.
