I came accross, lastminute.com through skyscanner. They take requests for booking and ask customers to wait for 24-48 hours. I tried to book a flight through such channel , I am told to wait for more days to get a confirmation. Since, they were not sure how many days for confirmation I requested to cancel my request for booking. They told me OK, it will also take some time and you need to pay the charges whichever will be applicable. Here comes the scam , they are charging for cancellation of non confirmed flight, with fares which were non existent.
This scam looks like : hold the booking request with non existent flight fares for unknown days, customers money is blocked for that period. If the customer then requests to cancel due to non confirmance of flights then they tend to charge for virtual flight fares which were not there.
Why skyscanner cannot ban these sites like lastminute, bravofly etc? They have .de extensions , customer care number from UK and people from India to talk. Looks completely scam in open.
Request skyscanner to look into this matter to ban them, because later I found out on truspilot that this company has reputation for unfair trade practices.
